Methodology

Decision Support for the Twenty-First Century (DS 21™) is a business decision making and support software tool based on the well-established and business-proven ‘Analytic Hierarchy Process’ (AHP).

The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a structured technique for organizing and analyzing complex decisions, based on mathematics, statistics, and best business practices. It was developed by Thomas L. Saaty in the 1970s and has been extensively studied and refined since then.

AHP is used around the world in a wide variety of decision making and choice ranking, in fields such as budget and finance, technology, government, business, industry, healthcare, and education.

DS 21 has been widely utilized to solve critical business problems. Examples of DS 21 uses are:

■   Portfolio selection

■   Ideation and new product development

■   Project ranking and selection

■   Build vs. buy decisions

■   Budget distribution

■   Site selection

■   Vendor sourcing and selection

■   Strategic planning

■   Risk Management

■   Sales planning

■   Curriculum development

■   Hiring decisions

… And many others.

We have enhanced AHP to add more accuracy and rigor to the decision process, without the added complexity of some other tools. We will continue to add more feature and capabilities in future releases.
